Description
Some of King Oliver's Band play with Oliver's nephew Dave Nelson
and they do a hot rendition of "Some Of These Days" on scarce
78rpm series Victor 23039.
It was recorded in NYC on January 14, 1931.
On the other side, Joe Venuti & His Orchestra (on label) plays "Getting Hot"
and features some great Jazz solos, with Phil Napoleon, both
Dorseys, Signorelli, Lang, Joe Tarto, and Ted Napoleon all sitting in.
This side was also recorded in NYC, but on May 23, 1929 as by
Napoleon's Emperors.
The record is in E- to V+ condition.
