Description
Versatile Hoagy Carmichael (1899-1981) was an American composer, singer, actor, pianist and bandleader known for recording such classics to the American songbook as “Star Dust,” “Georgia on My Mind,” and “The Nearness of You.” On this Victor, he sings a tune he wrote, “Sing It Way Low Down.” On the flip side, Dick Robertson does the vocal for “Thanksgiving,” a song Carmichael co-wrote with Johnny Mercer. Both songs were recorded September 1. 1932. Condition E
