Description

Collectors and baseball fans, check this out, Victor one sided 10' record #5570.  The Hadyn Quartet sings "Take Me Out to the Ball Game", with orchestra.  Fast paced version, includes the virtually unknown verse, very enjoyable. The back sticker is dated February 1, 1908.  The record plays fairly well.  The record has wear and consistent surface noise, but the music comes through fine.  
The song was written in 1908, the Post Office even issued a commemorative stamp in 2008 for its 100th anniversary.   So, this was issued when the song was new!  I've collected antique records for 40+ years.  I'm guessing the song was not an instant hit!   I've never seen this record before, either in person or on eBay!  I've seen a two minute cylinder of the song offered a few times on eBay, my recollection is they have sold in the $400 range each time.  Hey, spring training is starting.  Get this record, my buy it now price is reasonable given what I have here, go for it!
