Victor Electradisk 1931 Harlem Hot Shots orig. sleeve!
The following record was returned to me last summer from a previous winner who claimed that he could hear a tick in the faint edge crack which is mentioned. I cannot hear it at all, but since the customer is "always right," when bidding, please assume that there is a faint tick. Otherwise, my previous description follows and is exactly the same as before:
Offered is one of Victor's budget labels, Electradisk 1931 by the Harlem Hot Shots.
Actually, two different groups are using this pseudonym, the first side is by Dave Nelson & The King's Men who do a red hot rendition of "St. Louis Blues." This was recorded at Victor's New York studios on June 9, 1931. Dave Nelson trumpet, Wilbur de Paris trombone, and Buster Bailey clarinet, are all sitting in.
On the reverse side, Henny Hendrickson's Louisville Serenaders play "I Ain't Got Nobody."
The record is in excellent to excellent-minus (E to E-) condition on the first side, and excellent (E) condition on the reverse. There is a very fine 1" edge crack, no noise (small dab of cement on edge). There is some light writing on the labels.
It is in the original Electradisk sleeve in nice condition, but split some on the edges.
