Rare Original 1st press UK EP released in 1958 on the tri-centre Blue & Silver Decca Records Label. Cat: DFE6504.  

One of the many UK rock/pop artists of the late 50s Eager was one of the more promising singers in the Larry Parnes stable of stars. Launched in the spring of 1958 and christened Eager because of his enthusiastic personality, the vocalist was featured on several prestigious television shows, most notably Jack Good’s pioneering Oh Boy. He seemed a strong bet to follow Parnes’ other acts, Tommy Steele and Marty Wilde, into the UK charts but, despite a series of singles written by such name writers as Floyd Robinson, Marty Robbins, Conway Twitty and Gene Pitney, chart success proved elusive 

These singles are part of a lovely collection of original English 45's brought to Australia over 30 years ago when an English couple migrated to Australia. An avid music fan this gentleman followed many of the bands in the day from the late 50's through the 60's seeing everyone from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Animals, Yardbirds, Bo Diddley, Gene Vincent just to name a few. These singles are a great representation of his passion for rock N roll and the many artists who were playing at the time. Most of them are still with original record company paper sleeves and are all in amazing condition considering they are over 50 years old!! I look forward to listening and listing them for you over the next month...

There is a small tear on B-side label. Record has scuff marks and some light scratches, there are light crackles throughout with the some pops, still plays reasonably well without jumping or skipping. Record is in VG condition. Cover has light ring wear, some small surface tears and crease marks and marks and a few small tears on back bottom centre. Cover is in VG condition.
