Vince Guaraldi ORIG US LP Alma-ville EX ’69 Green Warner WS1828 Cool Latin Jazz
1st Press US LP released in 1969 on the Green Warner Label. Cat: WS1828.Over the next few weeks I will be listing some wonderful Jazz titles from a recently acquired Jazz collection. The original owner passed away back in 1985 and his sister decided to hold onto them for sentimental reasons. She had not touched or played them since then (1985!!). The records are in stunning condition for their age many, apart from a few light age spots on the covers, look like they walked off the shelf yesterday. I hope you enjoy viewing and possibly purchasing these wonderful jazz vinyl artifacts as much as i have in preparing them for sale and listening to them!!
Though Guaraldi had a little over six more years to live, this was his last commercial release; thus one must rely upon memories of the Peanuts specials for his considerable musical growth during the '70s (particularly in his airborne use of electronic keyboards). This time, producer Shorty Rogers imposed some discipline upon Guaraldi's increasingly eclectic pursuits and pulled an engaging straight jazz album from him, where the focus is primarily on his melodic swinging piano work in his usual mainstream and Latin grooves. The sidemen include many of Guaraldi's colleagues from the Fantasy days and top-flight guests, with the pungent guitar of Herb Ellis featured most prominently, and Guaraldi even takes a rudimentary electric guitar solo himself on "Uno y Uno.
There are a few very light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause some light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover has a small deletion cut on top left corner, a few tiny surface tears around edges and light scuffing on bottom right corner and is in Excellent condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
