Description
La Fusa, one of the great works of Vinicius De Moraes is the record from the recording sessions at the cafe-concert La Fusa in Buenos Aires in 1970. The idea of making an LP of the show that I recently presented at La Fusa (Silvina and Coco Perez's adorable cafe concert) together with the Bahian singer Maria Creuza and the Sao Paulo guitarist and composer Toquinho (Antonio Pecci Filho), found an immediate response in the sensitivity of Alfredo Radoszynski, director of the Trova label. Being an album for the general public and not only for a minority of fans, I suggested to Alfredo that we record it in the studio, to avoid the distortions common in live recordings, where the artist has to be more attentive to the public than to sound reproduction devices. We did so, also recording the atmosphere of La Fusa and the warmth of the applause that the Buenos Aires audience gave us in our recitals.
