Description
These vintage records were purchased in 1944 by an RAF trainee navigator on flying training in Canada and who also Served at RAF Waddington some were brought back from Canada and some were bought in England. The set comprises of the following 12 discs in an album by Artie Shaw and his Orchestra, Henry James and his Orchestra and The Mills Brothers and Orchestra:
Artie Shaw and his Orchestra of 9 record titles which are: Dancing In The Dark and Poinciana, Lady Say and Jumpin' on the Merry-Go-Round, Lover Come Back To Me and Zigeuner, What I This Ting Called Love and In The Still O The Night, Star Dust and Temptation, Streamline and Sweet Lorraine, If I Had You and Rockin Chair, Back Bay Shuffle and Jungle Drums, That's for Me and September Song.
Harry James and his Orchestra 2 titles which are: Prince Charming and Velvet Moon, Memphis Blues and Sleepy Time Gal.
The Mills Brothers 1 title which is: If I Lived To Be A Hundred and Daddy's Little Girl.
