Description
This Duke Ellington Transcriptions 16" vinyl recording appears to be in very good condition with some minor surface scratches. According to notes from the owner, the date of the record is 1946.
• Capitol Nos. 287 and 288.
• The record was part of an extensive collection of Bob Louden, a good friend and, in his earlier years, a disc jockey for Armed Forces Radio. In his retirement years, he presented a show called "That Old Time Music" where he would play the old 78s, some 45s, CDs and on his unique 16" turntable, many LPs like this one.
• Not having a 16" turntable, I am unable to test-play the record, but it appears to be in very good condition with some minor surface scratches. The paper sleeve is the vintage as well and shows use but is still solid.
B-287 - Overture to a Jam Session (5:10) • Jama Ditty (2:59) • Fuga Ditty (2:46)
B-288 - Sultry Sunset (3:46) • Happy Go Lucky Local - Part 1 (3:45) • Happy Go Lucky Local - Part 2 (2:55)
• See label images for more details on the tracks.
Note: I will be away from May 26 thru June 2. Orders placed during this time will ship promptly after my return. Thank you for your patience!
