Vintage 1958 Baltimore Colts v. NY Giants World Championship 45 RPM Record

You are bidding on a vintage 45 RPM record and picture sleeve featuring the highlights of the 1958 World Championship football game between the Baltimore Colts and the New York Giants played at Yankee Stadium on December 28, 1958. Often called the “Greatest Game Ever Played,” the game went to sudden death overtime before the Colts prevailed 23-17.  This record was marketed in Baltimore by the National Brewing Company. The record was taken from the CBS radio broadcast called by play-by-play announcer Bob Wolff. Side 1 features the last 5 minutes and 10 seconds of the fourth quarter and Steve Myhra’s game-tying field goal. Side 2 features 4 minutes and 51 seconds of sudden death overtime, culminating in Alan Ameche’s winning touchdown. Both the record and the hard-cover sleeve are in NEAR MINT condition. I’m reluctant to call anything this old, MINT, but this looks like it was filed away in 1958 and brought out today! While these records are available, you seldom see them in this condition! Don’t miss out!!
