…… This auction is for an original mono pressing of Meet the Beatles! by The Beatles, released in January of 1964 by Capitol Records with catalog number T-2047. This 12” Long Playing 33? RPM vinyl record was the first Capitol Records album released in the United States by The Beatles and helped launch Beatlemania across America. Unlike earlier British releases, the American album opened with the hit single “I Want To Hold Your Hand” and also includes “All My Loving,” “I Saw Her Standing There,” “This Boy,” and “Till There Was You.” The sleeve retains its original shrink-wrap, and the album still includes its original blue Capitol Records inner insert sheet. The back of the sleeve has a water stain, as you can see in our photographs.
