Vintage 1968 JIMI HENDRIX Experience Axis: Bold As Love Vinyl LP RS 6281 Shrink
Original 1968 pressing of this classic album. This is a well loved copy with some surface scuffs and scratches. It has been play tested and plays all the way through without any skipping or jumps. It has been cleaned with a two step process on a Record Doctor V but there is still some surface/background noise and pops & clicks, but it is actually pretty good for used record of this age. It may or may not get better with a more thorough cleaning. We've done our best to photograph the vinyl but it is difficult to get the lighting right so that it looks like it does in person. The matrix number is º 30725 RS-6281 º 1-E A7 and º 30726 RS-6281º 1-E B2 with two tone orange labels. Pittman pressing? The outer gatefold sleeve is still in the original shrinkwrap and has no rips, creasing, or seam splits. The shrink has been held in place with some sort of double sided tape or glue that has yellowed over the years. Comes with an original Reprise Records generic paper sleeve, not sure if that is what came with it originally.

This record is part of a collection that came from the estate of Tom Cuilla, drummer and main songwriter for The Ground Floor People (a garage rock band active in the late 1960’s who released a few singles). This collection included many key titles from the 60’s and 70’s, but unfortunately while many sleeves still have the shrink wrap on, they were not stored correctly and many sleeves had lots of dirt and grime on them. The vinyl itself ranges from Fair (F) to Very Good (VG). Each record has been given a basic two step cleaning with a Record Doctor V and placed in a plastic sleeve. Most records have been play tested so please read the above description of the actual record you will be bidding on. We’ve tried our best to describe the level of surface noise or excessive pops or clicks and have done our best to photograph the vinyl and sleeves. Please consider your bid carefully as while we know it is difficult to buy used records online we won’t accept returns for perceived sound quality issues. These are well loved records and are not audiophile quality and high end equipment often accentuates flaws.
