Description
Up for auction is a vintage original 1969 Ford Motor Company "It's The Going Thing" promotional LP record featuring the band The Going Thing. Both sides feature a medley of songs by the band with them talking between songs and both sides are identical songs. This LP is a white label promotional album with only a brown paper sleeve and no cardboard picture cover. I believe this LP was sent to a Ford dealership to be played in the showroom or to be handed out to a new car purchaser. Very cool promotional item that will appeal to the Ford collector or the music collector.
The record is in excellent condition and plays very clear with no skips and no hiss and pops. It does have a few surface scuffs and light scratches but no major scratches. Plays wonderfully. Please look at pictures closely for details and condition.
*The Going Thing band was discovered by Ford during a live performance and was signed to represent the Ford Corporation as campaign. Interesting Google read.
