Description

 Up for auction is the Columbia Records Set C-142: Bessie Smith: Empress of the Blues, Volume II (album #19 in a series of re-issues of the original records that made jazz history). Set includes 4 records total. Records appear to have been taken care of and played but they also appear in good condition each being interleaved with paper and cardboard within heavy cardstock box. I have no way to test how they sound. I bought them because I am a fan of Smith and I have been collecting 78's in anticipation of one day having a 78 player, but I still have not purchased one, and I am therefor selling what I have collected. I am selling this set of albums for what I paid originally. Includes pamphlet. Recordings date to 1929, 1930 and 1933. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Records will be packed with care.
