Description
Audiophile, Music Lover, and Musicianare apt ways describing this loved person who passed away. His record collection, including classical (in the most broad sense), opera, some jazz and popular, was meticulously cared for. The best turntables, styluses, and speakers were always used and brought current, as necessary. The records received attention (they were cleaned prior to and after each playing) that I thought was overdoing it at the time…now I know better, they were kept in beautiful shape…for their next owner, too.
Unless noted in the auction’s details, all records and covers are near mint (NM). I trust that you will be pleased if you purchase from the collection.

Berliner Motettenchor
NM shellac discs, EXC to NM cover. This is a 1952 Polydor 78 rpm set that includes two-10” shellac discs that are part of a spectacular gatefold record cover that opens up to show a 3-dimensional nativity scene. Made in Germany.
The vintage cover can stand up by itself (and stay up by itself) to become a beautiful nativity scene. The cover has survived over six decades now. The records are in near mint condition. The cover is in EXC to NM condition. (We did not know this was part of my brother's collection as it had been kept safe within a trove of large hardcover books.)

Cover opens to a full size, three-dimensional, pop-up nativity scene.
Cover: EXC to NM, shows moderate shelf wear; however, the nativity scene can stand up by itself and is remarkably intact. There are some small tears but none that takes away from the beauty of the sleeve illustrations.
Discs: NM, shellac is clear and glossy.
