Up for bids is an extremely rare "The Beatles Collection" Japanese box set in mint condition. I am the original owner. I was managing a record store when this was released in 1979. The Capitol Records rep got this one for me. There were only 5000 copies imported to the US and the store I was in only got two copies. This collection is on the Apple/EMI label and has never been played. I kept this just as I received it in the original sleeve with the Japanese overlay on the box. I only open it a few times to look at the record covers. It is number 011969 and has all of the original inserts, lyrics and posters it came with. The box's flaps are intact with no tears. There are two small nicks on the back of the box. Circumstances force me to part with this, the crown jewel of my box set collection, so this is a chance for a serious Beatles collector to own an almost 30 year old rare box set in pristine condition.
