Elvis Presley The Million Dollar Quartet Vinyl LP Record RCA Memphis Dec. 4 1956. This record is in excellent conditionOn December 4 1956 at the Sun recording studios in Memphis Tennessee one of the most significant events occurred in the music history for it was on that day that four giants of pop music jam together and created what is now known as The million Dollar quartet the occasion was a Carl Perkins recording session the participants there at the time where Carl's backup band JB Perkins and Clayton Perkins Carl's Brothers on rhythm guitar and bass plus his drummer WS flew Collin also present was a newcomer to the Sun group Jerry Lee Lewis who had in just the last few weeks his first 45 issued on the sun label crazy arms Sherry had been hired by Carl and Sam Phillips founder and owner of the now famous 706 Union avenue studios to play piano for what is rumored to be $15 for the entire session sometime probably toward the middle of the session and walked Elvis Presley completely unannounced with his then girlfriend from Vegas Maryland Evans 19 years of age what of course resulted has long been talked about but until now has never been heard.
