Description
I am not a record collector nor a professional record vendor. I am selling some old records belonging to my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as I now live in the old family home.
This record, KKK's "Why I am a Klansman" and "The Cross in the Wildwood", as I understand it, came out in the early 1920's and was produced at Gennett Recording Studios. It does have a few small scratches and the labels on both sides have minor damage, but overall the record looks very good for being nearly 100 years old - no chips nor cracks nor breaks in the record anywhere and it looks pretty clean. I have no record turntable so can't play it.
However, Brad Kay, jazz musician and record collector had this to say:
"My personal favorite amongst the ones I've heard is "Why I Am a Klansman" (KKK 75003). The tune is jaunty and jolly, and the record is something of a production with a string section, vocal quartet and soloist."
