Description

This 45 rpm record is a demo cut of the song "You You You" by Lee Andrews. It is recorded on one side, with the other side blank.  
Lee Andrews (1936-2016) is the father of the Roots' Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, and the lead singer of the 1950's doo-wop group Lee Andrews and the Hearts. He formed the doo-wop group in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1953. Four years later, their hits started coming:  Chess Records picked up their first hits, "Long Lonely Nights" and "Teardrops" in 1957. Another hit, "Try the Impossible" came out in 1958, after the group moved to United Artists. They continued to tour into the 1960's.   I'm not sure when this particular song was recorded. 
This came out of the estate storage of the late NYC manager/club owner, Frank Cariola, who passed in December, 2024. He was the owner of two of the most legendary nightclubs on Long Island (NY), Sundance and The Roxy. He was instrumental in giving many artists a solid foundation from which to grow.   
Condition - good. It does have some surface wear, and light scratches and fingerprints. Overall good, however.
