Little Richard's Album was transformative at the time: The album was one produced during a "cross-over" period where songs from the Rhythm 'n Blues era were moving into to the new Rock 'n Roll period. This album attracted fans of both genres - including me as a teen !!
A classic ... to this day !!
Condition: There are minimal signs of 'shelf wear' on the Exterior Album Cover Sleeve. The edges of the cover are intact and show minimal wear over the decades. The corners are sharp and in place and there are no cuts or slits on any edge.
Original Inner Sleeve (see images). The inner sleeve has no writing, tears or slits along the edges (see images 8 & 9).
The album and record has been stored in a smoke-free environment for the past 59 years !! There is minimal ring wear on either side of the record (see close-up images of both sides).
The vinyl itself is in VG++ condition. High gloss shine and very few, lightly visible needle marks on the after-groove portion (See close-up images of both sides - Nos. 4-7). Play graded VG++. Labels are clean with no spindle marks. (See images) Really, the record is in overall REMARKABLE condition!!! Conservatively graded. US shipping only!
SPECIAL NOTE: I personally purchased this album shortly after it was issued in 1958 from Reid's Records in Berkeley ... still there after all these decades !!
This is a No Reserve Auction.
All my records are "visually graded" AND played through completely for quality.
