VINTAGE LP, THE BEATLES “HELP!”, GERMANY, HOLLAND, PARLOPHONE, APPLE – 1A 062-04257

Here is a vintage, import, vinyl release of the Beatles’ LP, “Help” – 1A 062-04257.

This one has a Parlaphone label on the record but on the back cover of the jacket it says, “Apple, EMI, and Electrola”. I didn’t know the record business was so complicated!

Also, the record itself is stamped, “Made in Holland”, but on the back cover is found, “Printed in Germany”. The jacket and record do belong together, however, since the issue number “1A 062-04257” is found on both. I do believe this is referred to as a German copy of “Help” as the words on the bottom right of the jacket’s front cover are German.

The album jacket is still a solid unit, no split seams and no writing on it. It does show handling/shelf wear on front, back and spine. I will add, this is one of the flimsiest album covers I’ve seen – very thin material.

I bought this album new and understood how to care for vinyl. This record was always stored in a quality V.R.P. after-market dust sleeve. I do not have the original dust sleeve.

This record has been properly stored for years. I no longer have a turntable so I cannot vouch for how this record plays but it used to sound great so I expect that has not changed - but I make no warranties or guarantees of audio quality - so no returns or refunds with this.

PACKING: Since I am selling several vinyl LP albums on eBay but have never shipped vinyl LPs before, I experimented for a couple of hours with the "sandwich" method of packing, where the record is removed from the album cover and from the dust sleeve and then sandwiched between those two things. Then, the "sandwich" is bubble-wrapped tightly. However, I still could feel things sliding around inside the "sandwich". The sliding seemed minimal but it also seemed no different than when I simply bubble-wrapped the entire album with the record in its dust jacket and in the album cover. So, I will be shipping this record in its dust jacket and in its album cover. It will be bubble-wrapped tightly to reduce shifting of the record and then placed into a shipping box. If this is NOT how you want this shipped, then I will politely request that you please do not buy it.

Ships with tracking using USPS Media Mail to lower 48 states only.
