Description

For your consideration, you are Bidding (with NO RESERVE, beyond the minimum starting bid) on My Rare Audiodisc 16" Lacquered Aluminum Transcription Record of "The Today Show" on Radio with Dave Garroway (15-Minute show at 33-1/3 RPM Speed). I listened to the show for my own enjoyment and to confirm the recording quality and content. There is no label on the Today Show side of the record, just grease pencil notes. There is no date on the Today Show side to say when this was recorded, but from listening I know from their comments it was a Wednesday in January. From my recent research, I found a 1951 photo of the people who are on this record. Along with the host, Dave Garroway, there's Connie Russell and Jack Haskell. (Note: See Picture #3 for the image found on the Web). The flipside of the record has an older 1946 labeled United Nation Security Council transcription recording that has been X's out). (NOTE: This 16" record CANNOT be played on a standard 12" record player platter). (Note: See close-up pictures of the record for other details). This weighs 15.4-Ounces, without counting additional for layered overpackaging. Hopefully, from the pictures and my description, you can fully appreciate what is being offered here.
