An original first pressing Winchester Pressing vinyl, LP, album copy of The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd (1973), Harvest Records, Catalog# SMAS-11163, Gatefold. The 2 stickers and 2 posters that originally came with the album are missing. The gatefold jacket is in VG+ (Very Good Plus) condition with corner wear, slight edge wear, and just a bit of spine wear. Some wear near the jacket opening, and a bit of ring wear. A scratch near the top center front jacket. The vinyl LP is still really shiny & glossy! Just a few light play marks/light scratches, but these should not affect playback of the album. Note: I have not test played the album, but I would be happy to if you are interested. Just message me, and I will test play the record. I will give you my honest opinion on condition. No major scuffs, or deep scratches on either side. The original inner sleeve does have a few creases.
The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by Pink Floyd and it was released 3/1/1973 by Harvest Records. A concept album, The Dark Side of the Moon explores themes such as conflict, greed, time, death and mental illness. Snippets from interviews with the band's road crew are featured alongside philosophical quotations. The sleeve, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Storm Thorgerson in response to keyboardist Richard Wright's request for a "simple and bold" design, representing the band's lighting and the album's themes. The album was promoted with two singles: "Money" and "Us and Them". The album went to #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. The album went onto to sell some 45 million copies worldwide. It sold 15 million copies just in the United States (certified sales 1973-1998) and was 15x Platinum by the RIAA.
