Hello, for sale here is a 1970's time capsule.
I was given this single channel RC Gyron by a friend who's father flew model aircraft in the 60's and 70's, he told me that it had been in his father's loft since the late 70's. After his father's death while clearing out the house, he found it tucked away in a corner of the loft and as he had no interest in flying models himself, but knew I fly models years ago, he gave it to me. The contents of the box are exactly as they were left in the 1970's. There are two engines, a Fuji glow and a Diesel DC Merlin, I think the Merlin would need work to get running as the piston has been removed for some reason, I've made not attempt to start either motors. Also inside the box is a RCS single channel transmitter, receiver and escapement, again I've made no attempt to test this equipment so I don't know if it will work. There are other items inside the box (please see photos) including paperwork relating to the transmitting licence required at that time. I have recently started model fly again, ironically the Gyron was the first RC model I ever flew, way back in the early 70's (although mine was fitted with Macgregor RC unit and Frog 100 engine) I've since moved on to more complex aircraft and sadly can never see myself getting this 40 odd year old Gyron in the air again. I've listed this in the hope that someone else will take it on, restore it, and get it flying again, as it would be sad to see it deteriorate any further or worst still, taken to the tip.

If this model sell's, I'll give all of the money to the good friend that gave me the aircraft.
