Description
Up for auction is a rare and highly collectible record and case from Decca records. The Wizard of Oz was released by Decca in March of 1940 as a four record set with accompaniment of pictures and an explanation of the story. As the photos show, this is Decca record #74. The single record is #2672 and is the classic "Over the Rainbow" on side A and "The Jitterbug" for side B, both by Judy Garland.
Unfortunately, this auction includes only the one album of the original four record set. As noted in the condition description, the original album case and the brown sleeves inside are in very good condition. The album does have some surface scratches on it, but nothing big. I have not cleaned the album nor listened to it, so I cannot say how it sounds. Having this album and case is a rare treat. I hope it adds to your collection. Thanks for looking.
