Vintage Vinyl Record Album LP 1968 The Best of The Pink Floyd SC 054-04299

I am selling my late husband's record collection. He collected in the late 1960s through 1990 or so. Most of his records were purchased new, lovingly handled and seldom played. When played it was on a Thorens turntable with a Shure cartridge with very light tracking. Some were purchased used from reliable used record stores and were checked out visually before their purchase.

I am an experienced seller here on ebay (antiques and collectibles) but not a music expert.  I won't presume to know everything but feel free to ask questions. I am just trying not to hoard these- he died 13 years ago. I no longer have a turntable to play them to check for damage but will describe any surface issues I find. There are about 1000 albums in the collection and I am selling the best on ebay, all with a 4.99 opening bid. Relists will be offered with a fixed price of 5.00. Albums have been stored in climate controlled situation since purchased.

This was published by Columbia- manufactured by Bovema- Heemstede- Holland. Notice that the band is called The Pink Floyd. There is no reference to Masters of Rock on this record or the cover. This is a stereo recording.

SAD CAT STORY -We went on vacation and left our pets, a cat and a dog, in our home with an employee of my husband's who we left in charge of their care. He ate our food, dirtied up the house in general and somewhere in the mix forgot we even had a cat. We were gone a week and she was locked in a bedroom for about five days. During that time she took out her frustration on the record albums- only ruined the spines and amazingly, no damage occured to the vinyl from her efforts. My husband really loved the cat and thus forgave her. The employee? Not so much...
