Description

The Concert for Bangladesh, VINYL 1971 – box set of 3LPs and booklet

This is the three LP boxed set which was produced from two concerts which were held in August 1971 to raise money for refugees from East Pakistan, following the Bangladesh Liberation War-related genocide. A film of the concerts was also made and revenue from the LPs and film were estimated to amount to $12 million being sent to Bangladesh in the years up to 1985.

The concerts were organised by ex-Beatle George Harrison and sitar player Ravi Shankar, who both took part in the concerts.  Also appearing were Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Leon Russell and Jim Horn.

The box, LPs and booklet are in superb condition for their age.

LPs are marked STCX-1-3385
