Description
LP US Vinyl media release from 1981 by Michael Stearns - Planetary Unfolding. The recording was apparently made in one stereo track rather than the more common Electronic Music custom of multi-tracking and from there mixing down to stereo, so they call this a "live recording." It is Emotive Electronic Ambiance rather than the more formulaic theme based music, yet manages to portray its own dynamic sense through the builds to crescendo. This is something which is fairly unique to Michael Stearns, and I've never heard anyone else achieve these types of results from the commonly "dead" or artificial sounds of traditional electronics, particularly considering that this was recorded in 1981. Even though it is Electronic Music, the sound from the vinyl is superior to the recent digital re-releases.
Seller is the original owner, and the LP has never been out of my hands since purchase. This is a used recording and has been played minimally and only on high quality playback equipment, and has been handled and stored with great care. The original paper LP sleeve has been replaced with a VRP LP sleeve, to preserve and protect the Vinyl. The jacket has no protective cover but the cover is in top condition. Payment is through PayPal only, after which it will be shipped within the United States only and exclusively through the US Postal System by low cost Media Mail, unless other arrangements are made prior to payment.
