I have received a few more copies of this super rare album from Roger. It appears that there is an avid following of the group and the lone album they made. I am going to shorten the length of the auction by a couple days and put a more accurate starting price. I have had interest in some individuals wanting to buy multiple copies, so if the interest wanes on ebay, they may all go at once. Don't let this pass you by. See below for original listing text.
WOW! The rarest of the rare. This is an ORIGINAL LP of a long defunct Folk-Rock group from the mountains of Virginia. All of the information concerning this album in this listing comes from my personal friend and co-founder of the band Roger Mannon. Of course the band got its name from the classic song "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" by The Band. They performed for several years in the Blacksburg to Roanoke area and decided to make a private pressing of some of their better songs. This is one of the original one thousand copies they had made. Most were sold at their shows during the 1970's but a few survived, lovingly stored by Roger. (By the way, he is the one on the far right in the picture.) He says the songs are a mix of folk/rock/protest reflecting the social and political scene of the late 1960's - early 1970's. All songs are original, written by Roger and E. Eanes. He has just signed a deal for a limited re-issue, which I see a few are available on ebay. This will be the only way you will be able to find a sealed, original recording of this album. Starting price is reflective of the rarity and condition of this unique item.
