Description

This is Nocturne Records NLP 8, Virgil Gonsalves Sextet, a silver, deep groove label, original 10" mono issue of this extremely obscure west coast jazz session featuring Buddy Wise, Bob Enevoldsen and Lou Levy.  The thick vinyl record is in VG++ condition showing just a few light marks that do not effect the play, which is quiet throughout. Remarkable for a piece this old. The original cover has been used as a folk art expression on the front (see picture 3). The liner notes on the back cover are unaffected and all the seams are intact. The labels are excellent showing light spindle marks. If the obvious problem with the cover can be overlooked, this would be and excellent copy of an extremely rare original issue . The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and play graded on a Linn Sondek LP12. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple orders. Thanks for looking.
