Description
The photo shown is of the album listed, The Viscounts, Madison Records MA-LP1001, 1960. I can’t find any markings but I believe this to be a MONO recording and a possible DJ promo record, (DJ is stamped in the top right hand side border on the back cover).
Side One MALP – 1001 – A is machine stamped and etched on the run-off grooves
Side Two MALP – 1001 – B is machine stamped and etched on the run-off grooves
I listen to all my albums before listing and this album plays well on both sides. There are occasional pops and crackles on the tracks but they are very few and far between. The most noticeable is on side one near the end of Harlem Nocturne. It is possible that a professional cleaning would help. With that said, this album is a really good recording, not audiophile quality but a very good listen that really captures the music of the period, pre Beatles, pre British Invasion.. This album has been played often but not abused. The vinyl has some surface scratches and scuffing on both sides.
The jacket cover has minor ring wear and surface scuffing but the cover is still vibrant because of the photo used and the high quality paper and printing methods used at the time. The back cover has some discoloration around the border from handling but is still of very good quality.
All the edges are in tact with no splits and except for some wear in the corners, in very good condition.

All my albums are carefully packed and shipped. The record is removed from its jacket to prevent seam damage in transit and all albums are shipped with an inner sleeve, (the original inner sleeves are used when available). The record is sandwiched between the jacket cover and 2 cardboard fillers and then placed in a specially designed carton for shipping.
If you would like to combine the purchase of this album with other listings I have, the additional shipping fee would be $1.00 for each additional single album. The cartons I have will accommodate up to 3 single albums plus the cardboard fillers. Double LP’s, gatefolds, box sets, etc., may not fit in one box or may incur additional shipping costs exceeding $1.00 per additional album when combined with single album purchases.
