Vivaldi 12 Sonatas Salvatore Accardo Philips 6769 016 3 LPs
Salvatore Accardo with Rohan de Saram (cello) and Bruno Canino (harpsichord) perform “Twelve Sonatas for violin and basso continuo Op. 2” by Vivaldi. A three record set, this is a Dutch stereo pressing on the Philips Label (6769 016). The records are of immaculate appearance and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover and notes are mint.
These records are a part of a collection of records that had never been played. Some are sealed*, some have a store seal** and the rest are in mint condition.
* very few records outside the U.S. were ever shrink wrapped and it was only toward the end of the LP Era that this became common.
**Some record stores in Australia before being placed on their racks would attach a seal, either to the opening of the cover, or over the inner bag.
