Columbia 50013-D
Play-graded using a 1970's BSR record player, 33/45/78, with a stylus for 78 rpm records.
Appearance: scuffs on the lighter side; some dust in the grooves. Thus, could probably stand a cleaning. Wear to label, as pictures. Record has nice appearance. Date “Nov. 3—25” on “Adeste Fideles” side. Neat to see a date (of purchase, perhaps?).
Associated Glee Clubs of America: John Peel/Adeste Fideles; recorded on March 31, 1925; as noted on DAHR: “850 voices, plus audience of 4000; recorded at Metropolitan Opera House, N.Y.”
Plays E- light but noticeable surface noise; a few passages of blasting, and V++ scratchiness, especially on “Adeste Fideles.” Songs come through clearly.
To my knowledge, 50013-D is the sole twelve-inch electrically recorded disc issued on the Flag label.
