I recently acquired a large collection of musical entertainment paper ephemera from the collection of an independent promoter of bands and record labels in the S.F. Bay Area. Lots of interesting unique items, many publicity photos such as this some signed by the artists themselves. If you are into this sort of thing. Please check my other and upcoming auctions. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases.
This is an original authentic 1967 BELL RECORDS Press Kit consisting of a 8 page Biography and 8x10 glossy publicity photo of the group NIRVANA. This, of course is the original group Nirvana not to be confused with the later grunge rock group from Seattle. If you are unfamiliar with them you should check them out as they created some of the most unique and beautiful music of the 1960's BRITISH PSYCHEDELIC Scene. They recorded several of the most collectable records of that era.
THIS RARE bit of ephemera must've been created in 1967 shortly before the release of their first album " The Story of Simon Simopath" as the album is discussed as a work in progress. I should think that the readers of such notable magazines as Flashback, Ugly Things, and Shindig would find this material most intriguing. As this has been basically just stored in a filing cabinet for the last 50 years, it is in excellent Archival condition..
