Description

Richard Wagner's Ring des Nibelungen conducted by Georg Solti.  Ranked by many as the all-time best recording of the Ring, This is a special edition boxed set of all four operas: Das Rheingold, Die Walkure, Siegfried, and Gotterdammerung, also including a three record set of musical excerpts and dissertation on themes and leitmotifs by musicologist Deryck Cooke.  Each opera is in a separate wood-ended partition with a full-sized booklet giving biographies of the artists, program notes, synopsis, side analysis and libretto in German and English.  Each record is in presentation sleeve and inner liner. The whole set is enclosed in a wooden box with carved and gilded front face.  This is rare limited edition.

Condition:  Almost unplayed; most records played twice, none more than four times.  Partitions and outer box have only very minor wear at edges.  No damage to booklets
