Description
Hans Knappertsbusch conducts chorus and orchestra of the Bayreuth Festspiele in Wagner´s PARSIFAL recorded during the 1962 Festspiele. Singers are Jess Thomas, George London, Martti Talvela, Hans Hotter, Gustav Neidlinger, Irene Dalis and many more.
It comes with very extensive booklet. 5 LPs in luxury innersleeves. This should be a first edition acc to a dutch seller, the 111 at end of matrix number should indicate that. Sound is absolutely fantastic ..better than Deccas actually with very quiet surface.
On Philips 835 220/24 AY HifistereO on box marroon /plum label no HifistereO label exist.
Condition of item:
LP: NM except for little audible scratch on end side 1 (15 sec) and a lighter scratch on side 5 (lasting also app 10 sec). Needle doesn´t skip. It seems that only the 3 first LPs has been listened to so LP 4 and 5 is as new.
Cover and innnersleeve:EXC wear at lower left corner all else is NM.
