WAGNER: TANNHAUSER – HMV ASD 445-448 WHITE/GOLD
HMV ASD 445-448 (SLS 764) Tannhauser by Wagner: Boxed set of 4 stereo LPs with white gold labels plus single sheet with cast listing and disc contents. Frick, Hopf, Grummer, Fischer-Dieskau, Wunderlich, etc. Konwitschny conducting the chorus and orchestra of the German State Opera, Berlin.
Each of the 4 discs has a "Factory Sample – Not For Sale" sticker. Overall the set is in excellent condition but on Track 2 Side 6 there is an inaudible mark (possibly 2 very faint ticks) and on Track 2 Side 5 there are 2 small audible marks producing about 25 ticks. The box is overall in good clean condition, but the top right hand corner is split and textured covering is torn.
