NEAR MINT CONDITION
This complete set of LP’s of a ‘live’ recording of Wagner’s DER RING DES NIBELUNGEN is in NEAR MINT condition. I am the original owner and have played it sparingly over the years – it dates from and was purchased in 1977. This PHILIPS collection is imported from the Netherlands.
As I am one of the co-founders of Nitty Gritty Record Care Products, I can vouch for the careful preservation of this collection of 16 LP’s. Each is stored in it’s original static free sleeve from the beginning and kept in my home’s temperature controlled listening room.
The set is housed in a handsome, 3 inch thick, cloth covered, gold-embossed, cardboard case and includes four full color booklets with lyrics in both German and English, one for each of the four operas. (Please see the photos)
The surfaces of these pressings are exceptionally quiet and thanks to the LIVE recording, it feels like attending a LIVE performance. Since it was recorded at the Bayreuth Festspielhaus that Wagner himself designed, it is a reference recording of this monumental work.
