Description

Westminster Records 3 disc set in original album presentation, original mono recording WAL 301, red label discs pressed in the US. Bach, Mass in B minor, with Hermann Scherchen and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.  Soloists include Emmy Loose, Hilde Ceska, Gertrud Burgsthaler-Schuster, Anton Dermota, and Alfred Poell. See pics for program details.

Discs NM, album VG++, booklet included.  An exceptionally nice copy of this great recording.  Hard to find in the early album edition, especially in this condition.

These very early LPs have great sound, but because of the limitations of the vinyl and the pressing equipment in the early 50's they will not have perfectly silent surfaces, even when visually perfect. They will be the quietest and sound best when played on a mono setup.
