This is my EX / EX condition UK ORIGINAL SUE RECORDS - ISLAND Records Cat.No. copy of this RARE SOUL / R&B LP - ILPS 950. One of the RAREST of all the UK ISLAND related LPs, this one does it TRUELY on musical merit. A wonderful album of pure soul from The Wallace Brothers! The vinyl is in great shape with some very light 'withdrawl' type marks, but no scratches or serious marks at all. It plays great with hardly any noise in the quiet bits and between the tracks. A clean on a modern machine would produce a near-MINT copy! The yellow and red SUE labels are clean and tidy with no visible spindle marks at all, but like a number of these end period Sue pressings the labels ware easily and there is a tiny hint of colour loss, but nothing serious! The cover is a strange affair. It is a non-laminated UK produced sleeve, but it is made with USA style 'heavy' duty card. There is a sticker removal mark just under the SSue logo and record number on the front top r/h corner and a hint of label size colour loss in the b/w picture in the middle of the sleeve. Luckily this ware is from storage and is not tooo heavy! The white card rear is still very WHITE, with just a hint of loss of white on the bottom tab near the record opening - this sleeve is tabbed top and bottom, but not at the spine! There is no printing on the spine at all, but there is a half inch split right in the middle - hardly noticable at all! So a WONDERFUL copy of this TRUE UK SUE / ISLAND RARITY and a fitting tribute to the ears of the great 60's DJ GUY STEVENS. TRUELY ESSENTIAL
