Description
THE IVEYS / JAMES TAYLOR / JACKIE LOMAX / MARY HOPKIN – Walls’ Ice Cream Presents ORIG Apple EP / CT 1 (UK, Stereo, 1969)
Happy to present the promo only, 1969 Apple EP originally available for 6/6d to buyers of Walls’ Top Ten and Big Wiz ice creams. The vinyl is in fantastic condition with original picture sleeve .
The front laminated, flipback pic sleeve has survived in solid VG+ (Very Good Plus) condition with no tears, splits, writing, edge wear, stickers or colour fading. There are 2 prominent creases near to the opening edges which are also on the rear. Along with a noticeable ring outline to the front and some yellowing/slight dirt discolouration to the rear, these are the only faults and overall it’s still in a strong, pleasing state.
The labels bear the ‘Sold in the UK’ text and are in lovely condition with no writing, residue, dirt and I can’t see ANY spindle traces. Superb.
The vinyl is in great shape with no discernible markings. NO scratches, scuffs or hairlines. It looks very close to mint and is deserving of a minimum EX+ (Excellent Plus) grade. HAS BEEN CAREFULLY LISTENED TO and plays with no issues or nasties. That’s no snap, pop, clicks, hiss, distortion or loss of clarity. Just a touch of underlying surface was all I picked up.
The stand out cut for me on this is Jackie Lomax’s superb ‘Little Yellow Pill’ (produced by George Harrison) which is a real mover/floor filler. A superb example of this rare Apple oddity! No reserve!
