Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Dutch Beat, Prog, Psych and Jazz records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare 1st Holland STEREO pressing of Wally Tax – Love In on Philips, cat no. 855 038 XPY.
The record is in VG++ condition, there are a couple non-sounding hairlines and a couple visible, but non-sounding marks only. The labels are in VG++ condition as well, there are some spindle marks on both sides and there is a tiny spot of sticker residue (hardly visible) on side 1.
The flipback sleeve is in VG+ minus condition, there is some slight ring wear and handling on the front, and the back has some age browning, but besides mentioned imperfections, this cover looks very decent to me; no writing, no rips or tears or other damage.
This is an extremely rare 1st Dutch pressing of the first solo album by Outsiders singer Wally Tax called Love In. legendary Groeten uit Grollo album by Cuby and the Blizzards. When this album was first released in 1967, just after the Outsiders released their first album, it sold a very little amount of copies. In my 20 years of collecting records, I have only seen this album a handful of times for sale on the market. And almost every first pressing I’ve seen, was played to death and not better than VG minus. Decent copies of this album are very hard to locate, making this an extremely hard record to find. This is a real must have for all Dutch blues fans! Happy Bidding!
