For auction today: Walrus - I am the Walrus/Wild Time Tonight. Aussie EMI Custom pressing 45 rpm, 12" single in laminated PS. Rel in 1978 by 4 piece band from Australia who were all about 25 years old at the time.
Cat. no. PRS 2555.

Ultra rare single with A and B sides being good driving hard rock. Similar in style to the UK band Jerusalem, on Deram.

The a-side is obviously the Beatles track composed by Lennon/McCartney, but done with guitars to the fore and blistering lead breaks. B-side is same type of hard-rock but own composition. Wild guitar solo in there as well & really killer, but dont take my word for it, listen to both tracks here. Make sure volume is up.

Condition: Sleeve has tiny discolouration along 2 edges on front and slight r/wear to rear. There is a small white square sticker on rear as well. Very nice and tidy with no splits or unwanted writing.
Disc looks like its been played only 1-2 times and NM condition as are labels with no stamps or writing.

This was a promo copy for a dj as it comes with a photo of the band on glossy photographic paper and a press release with info about the band members and history of the band.

I have listed this under "33rpm & LP" as I dont think anyone would search  for a progressive rock record from the 70's in the 45rpm/12" single category as I dont think there were any of them, other than this one.

Rare opportunity, esp with extras and nice condition.

Graded: cover/disc = EX/M-.

"M-" is the highest grade I give when selling records. It means that it looks new/almost new. In most cases, disc would appear as unplayed.
