Description
This is a rare and collectible record giving a "musical tour" of Disneyland's Frontierland, escorted and proudly narrated by Walt Disney himself. This is one of a series of 5 that Disneyland Records put out as a series: Main Street USA; Adventureland; Tomorrowland; Fantasyland; and this record, Frontierland.
The heavy-duty, cardboard picture sleeve has a beautiful, full-color map of Disneyland (dating from the release date in 1956) on the back and says over the map, "Walt Disney Takes You To Frontierland". The front of the picture sleeve has a full-color picture of one of Disneyland's Mike Finn Keel Boats and the big, white sailing boat in front of Tom Sawyer's Island. The very light vegetation dates the picture but otherwise, it looks just like you're in Disneyland today.
Unfortunately, a sticker on the front cover wasn’t removed carefully. The picture sleeve is in Very Good condition as the outer edges are very firm and it shows beautifully. But it has some edge wear and the spine and all 4 corners are very strong but the top seam split open next to the record opening. The cardboard is so strong, it holds the two sides together and looks perfect at first glance but there is heavy price sticker residue on the front cover. This vintage, picture sleeve's appearance looks beautiful until you look very closely. Please see photos.
The vinyl record's condition is Very Good+ with a few smudges and some fine hair line scratches. There is sticker residue on the record. Please see photos.
