Description
This is a still sealed LP record on the RCA Victor label featuring Wanda Landowska performing JS Bach three and two part inventions on the Pleyel Harpsichord. The Pleyel Harpsichord was produced in order to re-create the sound of instruments used during the Baroque period. This album was issued in 1959 upon the passing of Madama Landowska and is called a “Memorial Edition”. This is a mono record, Columbia’s catalog number LM 2389, still sealed in its original plastic wrap - it is a Canadian pressing. Very rare to find a record dating to 1959 still unopened in its original cello wrap. Excellent addition for the student of Bach harpsichord music!
