GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Note : musiche composte da Ward Swingle e Cyrus Bassiak. Tredici canzoni tutte in Francese con l'eccezione di " Gloub Gloub " in lingua Tedesca e " Sinfonia " basata esclusivamente su vocalizzi senza parole di significato compiuto. Il film è una garbata satira sul nuovo cinema francese; la " nouvelle vague " dei vari Godard, Resnais, Rohmer, ecc., ecc. e le sue canzoni pungono con ironia, divertimento, autocritica ed irriverenza questo nuova onda cinematografica. Sono tutte interpretate da personaggi che hanno un ruolo nel film. Hanno spesso carattere cabarettistico e dissacratorio. Così possiamo ascoltare Guy Bedos in " Du Yé-Yé " gagliardo rock'n'roll che nello stesso tempo imita e sbeffeggia educatamente Johnny Hallyday mentre gli Zooms con il simpatico motivo yé-yé " J'ai Ma Caméra " salutano con un pizzico d'ironia il nuovo genere canoro per giovani fortemente diffuso a quei tempi in Francia. Esce da questo carattere satirico la bellissima " Sinfonia " prezioso tema di Bach magnificamente rielaborato da Sward Swingle. Il suo gruppo interpreta la prima parte del brano con vocalizzi esclusivamente femminili senza accompagnamento musicale (a cappella) con un'impostazione generale classica; nella seconda parte questo stile viene abbandonato per dar vita a veloci fraseggi quasi di gusto jazz per l'intervento dei componenti maschili del gruppo in contrappunto ai guizzanti vocalizzi femminili con l'accompagnamento di una sezione ritmica (basso, batteria, chitarra ritmica...) di sottofondo. Da citare senza dubbio la bella interpretazione canora di Alexandra Stewart in " Les Fonds Flous " dall'atmosfera malinconica e una dolce melodia. Infine trovo molto divertente con tipici testi cabarettistici " Gloub Gloub " cantata dall'attore Francis Blanche.

Thirteen songs in French except for " Gloub Gloub " in German and " Sinfonia " entirely based on choral wordless vocalisms.  The film is a gentle satire on the new French cinema, the " nouvelle vague " of various Godard, Resnais, Rohmer etc., etc. and the songs tease with biting humor, fun, self-criticism and irreverence this cinematographic new wave. All are played by characters in this film. The songs often have cabaret and derisive feature. So we can listen to Guy Bedos in the hectic rock'n'roll " Du Yé-Yé " that simultaneously imitates and politely mocks Johnny Hallyday while Les Zooms with the nice yé-yé song " J'ai Ma Caméra " greet with a pinch of irony the new song style for teenagers highly popular at that time in France. It goes out from this satirical character the wonderful " Sinfonia " a precious theme of Bach masterly arranged by Sward Swingle. His group plays the first part of the tune with only female vocalisms without musical accompaniment (a cappella) under an overall classical setting while in the second part this composition offers a new perspective through swift phrasings almost of jazz flavor due to the participation of the group's male members in counterpoint to stimulating female vocalisms and with the accompaniment of a rhythm section (bass, drums, rhythm guitar...) in the background. Surely to mention the beautiful vocal performance of Alexandra Stewart in " Les Fonds Flous " from a melancholy atmosphere and a sweet melody. Finally I find very funny " Gloub Gloub " sung by actor Francis Blanche with typical cabaret lyrics.

Mi limito a citare Guy Bedos, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Claude Brasseur, Anna Karina, Monica Vitti, Alexandra Stewart, Roger Vadim, Francis Blanche, Sophie Daumier, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Marina Vlady, Romolo Valli.
