ELUSIVE PROGMONSTER!!!!COMPLETE WITH CORRECT DATE STAMPED INNER SWIRL POLYLINED BAG!!!

!!!!A VERY HARD FIND!!! A few hundred (rumoured to be around the 500-600 mark) copies worldwide only!!! SOOOOOOOOOOO very rare!!!!! In an alternate universe this would have sold in their millions ... and I would be listing a Deep Purple album as an obscurity ... Yes, this album is on par with any of the best Deep Purple or Uriah Heep material. Just why Warhorse did not progress to the big league is indeed very hard to understand.

In all my years this is only the fourth time (One other was a German version) I have come across this absolute STUNNER. The rarity of this LP is not to be underestimated!!! Most of these will now be tucked away in major collections across the four corners of the Earth. Only 500-600 are rumoured to be about. Rare ... anyone?? Sensational sound quality, although there are many detectable hairlines. There is some low level static to be heard at times, but most of the time this is easily masked by the heavy progressive rocksound. NO skips or jumps. NO clicks, this is really a stunning heavy vinyl .  Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

Vinyl: VG. A sensational find!!! I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more in-depth observation. I am very glad to say that there are not any jumps and just one skip. Unbelievable as it may sound there is only quite minimal  background noise, surprising considering that there are many hairlines visible to the eye!! A credit to these early Vertgo presses, which seem to be bombproof!!  Wonderful songcraft reminiscent of Heep, Sabbath or Deep Purple with a Gillanlike vocal performance of Ashley Holt. Side One begins with some hesitation and a low level click that lasts for a few seconds. At the end of track 3, literally in the last note of the song there is one stick where there is a mark that also causes a couple of light clicks. I moved the stylus to the very next groove and track 4 plays out beatifully. I'm listening to the track "Solitude" as I'm writing this, an "out of this world" song!! No wonder this album is now so sought after. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!! Outstanding channelling, killer riffs, this is a legendary album.

Gatefold Sleeve: VG. Mainly due to age related spots, most pronounced in the inner gatefold sleeve (see pic). There is some scuffing to all edges. The spine is 80% readable. One small colourfill to the top right. There are NO creases. the inner swirl sleeve has yellowed with age and this has the correct date stamp, so it is the original one.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible!!! Although there is the one described stick I have still decided to auction this as it is just so incredibly rare!! If you don't mind that you will buy into a piece of psych/prog core history.

Original SWIRL inner with the CORRECT DATE STAMP. This has a few creases (see picture)

Labels are VG+
