UK ISSUE 7 INCH VINYL 45RPM SINGLE - DEMO

Classic rare sixties Psych freakbeat single with great guitars. The b side features some wierd backward guitars and great heavily overdubbed psychedelic effects.

Warm Sounds were a harmony duo of Barry Husband (aka Barry Younghusband) (guitar, bass, vocals), formerly of Tuesday's Children, and Denver Gerrard (guitar, vocals), who got together just in time to greet the Summer of Love with a psychedelic-pop classic called "Birds & Bees," released on English Decca's quasi-progressive Deram Records imprint. The song made number 27 on the national chart in England and hit number one on Radio London, the definitive pirate radio outlet for the U.K. but proved to be the last success had by the Warm Sounds. This follow-up Deram single, "Nite Is A Comin,'" failed to chart, and a move over to Immediate Records yielded one single, "Sticks And Stones b/w "Angeline," that was also ignored by most of the public. Their sound was similar in nature to the Twice As Much, although the Warm Sounds didn't cover songs written by the Rolling Stones. Toward the end of their time together, the duo was experimenting with backward tapes and heavily overdubbed psychedelic effects.

Hard to find single especially the demo copy.

Low start and no reserve.

Great 60's nostalgia!
