MUSIC FOR SKIERS ONLY
This must be an amazingly rare record because when I looked on a discography site for this label, it didn't even list it. It began with "MLP-503".
This is record number MLP-501, the Mark 56 Record Company, P.O. Box 23, Anaheim, California (pre-zip code address). There is no copyright date on the sleeve or record itself but I'm guessing it's from the 60s. The record does have an ASCAP name associated with it, Josef Weinberger Ltd. It also says that it's produced by George Garabedian.
But the real connection here is the legendary, and funny, Warren Miller, (RIP), creator of those amazing skiing films. On the back of the sleeve is typical Warren humor:

CHASING POWDER AND SUNSHINE. THIS ALBUM CONTAINS THE MUSICAL INTERPRETATIONS OF SOME OF HIS MORE ENJOYABLE MOMENTS. JUST SIT THERE WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED AS YOU LISTEN TO THE MUSIC AND YOU CAN JUST SEE THE SKIERS HURTLING BY, JUST FEEL THAT LIGHT POWDER WALTZ, FEEL THE HURT OF THE BROKEN LEG BLUES. AS YOU SIT THERE WITH THOSE EYES SHUT YOU CAN JUST IMAGINE ME SKIING ALL OVER EUROPE WITH THE MONEY I MADE BECAUSE YOU BOUGHT THIS RECORD.
This record comes from an estate of hundreds of albums I'll be selling over the coming year. Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm not an expert at grading these, but I think the photographs give a pretty good representation of what I'm selling.
