TERMS OF SALE

GRADING (see below for grading scale)

1) Grading is visual. I made a conservative grading, I tried to avoid over-grading. The majority of the material on sale is not for MINT collectors. There are some MINT/NEAR MINT items, though. I rate MINT only sealed records.

2) I am a collector, and I often purchase LPs on ebay. I am usually happy with the purchases, seldom it happened that I was not. In case you are not happy with the item you received, before leaving a negative feedback, write me and we’ll see how to find a solution.

PAYMENT

1) If you win, don’t pay immediately after the closure of the auction.

2) Wait to receive the invoice.

3) Pay at the latest within 3 days after receiving the invoice.

4) Only paypal accepted for international bidders.

SHIPPING

1) I will ship as soon as possible and in any case no later than 3 days after the payment.

2) Send me an email after the closure of the auction and specify if you prefer A) normal or B) registered mail. I assume no responsibility if an item sent by normal mail does not arrive at destination.

3) For purchases above 25 euro I only ship with registered mail.

PACKAGING

I use professional cardboard mailers with due additional protection. Packaging average weight  for one 12” vinyl is 250 grams.

SHIPPING COSTS (prices in euro). Shipment with “Poste Italiane”.  I do not charge packaging costs. I always apply a discount on shipping costs, buy and you will see!

Note for Italian buyers: le poste italiane non accettano piu’ spedizione prioritaria o raccomandata per plichi delle dimensioni di un LP 12”, ed e’ imposta la spedizione come pacco, ordinario o celere. Per assurdo, costa meno la spedizione all’estero. Applico comunque uno sconto di base sul prezzo del pacco celere 3, 9.00 invece che 9.90 euro. Per acquisti multipli (sopra 3 dischi) applico un ulteriore sconto.

    TERMS OF SALE

Grading scale 

MINT (m)

Vinyl:   Perfect! This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer, with NO flaws what so ever. It looks as though it had never been handled. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains. Audibly, there will be no surface noise, no clicks and no pops.

Cover: No stickers, address labels, writing on the covers or labels unless placed there by the record company. No tears or seam splits. No wear to the cover.

NEAR MINT (nm)

Vinyl:   This record appears virtuallyflawless. A very minor scuff andvery little else can appear on the vinyl. It should play without any noise overthe flaw. The flaw is very hard to see. Audibly,the surface noise will be barelynoticeable, no clicks, no pops and noscratches.

Cover: Thecover looks as close to perfect with onlyminor signs of wear and or age. Minorimpressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside)may be acceptable; however the artwork is to be as close to perfect as can be. No ring wear.

EXCELLENT (ex)

Vinyl:   Minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may bemore than a few scuffs and NOScratches. Audibly the surfacenoise will be very minimal but audible andprimarily a function of the age of the album. There may be up to 3 clicks per side. There will be no pops and noscratches.

Cover: Artworkis still as close to perfect as can be. Someimpression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear! Some slight creases to the corners,but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show white (wherethe artwork pasted slick was) meaning, slight wear. No seam splits or writingon the cover or taped repairs can make this grade.

VERY GOOD + (vg+)

Vinyl:   Record shows wear, surface scuffs. Thevinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. If the flaws don't cause significantsurface noise, the vinyl can still make the VG+ grade. Audibly the surfacenoise will be higher than an EX record but not so high as to be distracting tothe listener. There may be 6 orless clicks per side. There willbe no pops and noscratches.

Cover:  Avirtually clean cover, but mayhave small writing on it. The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. The back of thecover usually gives away the age of the cover. Flat white paper will besomewhat yellow yet no stains or mildew from water damage. Some minor wear to the seams or spine,but no tears or holes popping through. The album may have a purposeful circularhole punched in it but the hole can not disfigure the artwork. The ring wearwill be more noticeable than EX but will not form a complete circle. Thecorners will be slightly dog eared yet no crackly bends, defacing the artwork.In essence, a VG+ cover should have no more than 3 flaws mentioned.

VERY GOOD (vg)

Vinyl:   This record is a record that is goodenough. They are not really going to look very good, but it will STILL play very good. A VG record will appear to have been playedbut still have some luster. Audibly the surface noise will be higher thana VG+ record and may at times be somewhat distracting to the listener. Theremay be 9 or less clicks per side.There will be no pops and noscratches.

Cover: Therewill be more ring wear, where theink has begun to wear off. The ring wear may form a complete circle giving thecover a look of snow falling. If the artwork looks snowy all over, it is lessthan VG condition. There may be some writing on the cover (still, no Large lettersin magic marker). It will look aged and more yellowish due to contamination'sin the air (sometimes looking like cigarette smoke). Still it should be decent.

GOOD (g)

vinyl:   A Good record will look very well played, dull, grayish andpossibly abused. However a Goodrecord should still play. Audibly, it will have distracting surface noise, such as crackle thatmay be continuous or some hiss. The record will also have some loss of dynamicscaused from grooves being worn. It should play without any skips or anyobtrusively loud pops or repeated clicks, caused by deep scratches. Good meansthat it will play with some form of decency, so one can still enjoy the musiceven though you can still hear noise caused from the wear.

Cover: AGood cover will have just abouteverything wrong with it. It willhave seam splits (possibly taped repaired, but only with scotch tape. No ducttape or masking tape repairs. These are big turn offs). May have magic markerwriting on the cover but still if they are in huge letters, it is a big turnoff. In essence, the cover willlook virtually trashed, but some artwork will still be noticed. If the artworkis worn, it is POOR and the cover is worthless.
